Who we are
Hello! We are Moriah and Elijah.
We grow mushrooms because we love life, we love people, and we love the place we live.
Together, we started Forest Forager, a small-scale mushroom farm in the heart of the RRG Kentucky. We are passionate about providing high-quality food mushrooms to our community and beyond.
Where did it begin? Moriah studied Health and Human Performance and Elijah, Sustainable Agriculture.
We then spent a year traveling the world on the Watson fellowship researching the intersection of regenerative agriculture, community resiliency, wilderness preservation, and small-scale tourism. We traveled to eight countries and 85 destinations. You can read more about the adventure, and some of its lessons below:
After a year of traveling and research, we count it a great privilege to return to our home and become part of the local food system, supplying high-quality protein to RRG and surrounding communities.
